An insightful meeting was held on September 30, 2024, between the Director General TDAP, Mr. Khalid Rasool, and the Managing Director PSIC, Ms. Saira Omer accompanied by the team.
The session began with a briefing on the major functions of PSIC, highlighting the ongoing ADP schemes and initiatives for promoting cottage and small industries. PSIC proposed several areas for collaboration with TDAP to enhance industrial growth and export potential. Mr. Khaild outlined TDAP’s role and particularly emphasized potential collaboration with PSIC in various core areas and clusters to identify gaps and to provide mechanical support through the facilitation center at PSIC’s Handicraft Development Centers (HDCs)
The discussion centered on increasing export capabilities and securing international acceptability for local industries, recognizing this as a pivotal area for future joint efforts. PSIC is thankful to Tdap for this collaboration to promote sustainable growth and strengthen Pakistan’s small and cottage industries on the global stage.
