The 132nd Board Meeting of Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) was held under the chairmanship of the Honourable Minister Industries, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain along with the Secretary Industries, the Managing Director PSIC, members of the PSIC Board, and relevant PSIC team.
Managing Director PSIC briefed the Board on the agenda items and presented proposals for consideration. The Board deliberated upon matters including canceled plots to ensure transparent disposal and productive use, approval of auction of redundant properties, provision of electricity in Gujranwala Small Industrial Estate-IV to facilitate industrial operations, approval of PSIC Estate Development and Management Rules 2025 - a landmark initiative in the history of PSIC that will ensure better estate management, transparency, and improved facilities for industrialists, then the Board reached at viable closure of CM Self Employment Scheme (CMSES), improvisation measures for PSIC Industrial Estates for improved cleanliness, security, and environment, adoption of the revised SME definition for aligning with national policy, as well as issues relating to Small Industries Estate-II and III (Export Processing Zone), Sambrial Sialkot, and other PSIC concerns.
The Chair and Board members provided guidance on the way forward to strengthen PSIC as an organization, industrial development, enhance infrastructure facilities in industrial estates, and support SMEs across Punjab.
